RSi
RSi Formed in 2002/3 With founding members Jonny Woods, Mark Wilson and Anton Hughes. Rehearsals occurred in the Cream of the North (New rhythm initiative) rehearsal suite in North Street Arcade (now burnt down) which was run by their previous manager Biggy Bigmore (unknown to him that he would manage the same band 3 years later).
Ruth Wightman joined the band in 2004, and began the wave of synthesis among the groups already obscure genre.
After the recording of their debut LP, Blue View, they became involved with the management of Biggy Bigmore, and now have moved onwards not forgetting the wonderful help and belief that Biggy bestowed on them.
Recently, the band have been working on their Third EP, and will be taking the back seat when it comes to production, enlisting the help of Railway Studios and it's producer Ross Cullen. This will be available for retail in April 2008. In 2006 they had the addition of vocalist Melyssa Shannon. The band are proudly working now with Bruised fruit promotions with the ongoing help and support from Biggy Bigmore and Cream of the North.
The band pride themselves on being totally different to any band around the music scene at the moment, giving something different and fresh to the people who are fed up of the same styles that are dominating mainstream music.
Say hello to your new favourite band!
