Impassioned, heartfelt, melodic... These are a few of our favourite things, and The Good Fight tick all of those boxes. This is accomplished stuff for a debut recording, and the band deftly avoid all of the traps most other folks with a copy of Pro Tools fall into. 'Presumptions' is devoid of naff studio tricks; it has good tunes and tuneful singing. Occasionally, it feels as if the songs could do with a further push, but The Good Fight display admirable restraint by refusing the common fallback plan of stomping on a distortion pedal. One quibble is that at eight minutes, you will be left wanting more, but as quibbles go that isn't too bad.
